Farmhouse Roof Repairs

This is a grade II listed farmhouse built in the early 19th century. The farmhouse is built of brick and has a handmade clay tiled roof.

The farmhouse originally had the classic Georgian twin pitch roof with a central valley gutter and the historic timbers in the roof space still allow the history of this to be read. However likely due to historic water ingress this central valley gutter was removed and a felt flat roof was inserted.

We have gained listed building consent to re-roof the farmhouse and replace the felt flat roof with an asphalt flat roof. We have developed the package of construction information and the works are due to start on-site in Autumn 2023, to ensure we work within the required bat seasons.
